The Program Support Intern role for our Consulting and Grants (C&G) department is responsible for supporting Union Kitchen's programs for SNAP recipients to help create livelihoods and employment opportunities in the District, Maryland, and elsewhere.

As Consulting & Grants Intern for SNAP, you will:

Support the day-to-day operations of the SNAP Recipient Career Development Program

Responsible for the following main activities:

Assist in recruiting program participants

Assist in career development services (resume writing, cover letter support, interview prep, targeted job search assistance, etc.)

Assist in providing case management services and conduct regular career coaching check ins

Assist in writing reports on project progress for government oversight

As part of SNAP Grant Support you are:

Willing to assist the C&G department in new business development as we grow our offerings

Available to be called in to support additional C&G efforts as needed

Passionate about driving Union Kitchen's social mission and making an impact in the community.

The internship is largely unpaid, but there is a $50 stipend to join.
