The Opportunity

The Adobe Podcast team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for creating great product experiences. Be part of a tightly knit team developing groundbreaking innovations in the world of spoken-audio first media on the web and help define the future of this medium as it takes over the world.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the engineering team headquartered in New York City
  • Collaborate with product management and design to shape the future of our products
  • Invent, design, and implement brand new, modern video/audio workflows on the web
  • Work in multiple languages, building applications and associated infrastructure for the next generation of video/audio products at Adobe
  • Work with internal AI/ML Research and Applied Research teams to productize and maintain AI services for use in Adobe Podcast
  • Join a team that has years of experience in an utmost Programming-style environment

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience * 8+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with video/audio on the web, WebRTC experience is a bonus
  • Comfortable taking ownership of product initiatives that can span multiple teams and services
  • Extensive experience architecting, developing and maintaining API services
  • Experience building complex interactive single page apps
  • Comfortable programming in multiple languages and paradigms. We primarily work with TypeScript and Ruby
  • Comfortable Pair Programming. We value learning and growing together
  • Thorough understanding of Test-Driven Development and Test-Driven Design

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $154,000 -- $278,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
